Careers

Build machines that learn real work.

We're a small team building physical AI that learns from skilled people and works outside the lab. The next few people to join will shape what it becomes.

Open roles

Three ways in.

Two founding roles, one for the robot's mind and one for its body, and a way in for students and interns.

01Founding Engineer, Robot LearningFounding team

Teach robots real work from human demonstrations, and make what they learn hold up outside the lab.

What you'll do

  • Train and fine-tune robot policies from demonstrations, from imitation learning to vision-language-action models.
  • Decide what data to collect, how much of it, and how to tell when a policy is good enough.
  • Take models from training runs onto real robots, and close the loop when they fail.
  • Set the direction of our learning stack from day one.

What you bring

  • Experience training policies for real robots, not only in simulation.
  • Strong PyTorch and solid engineering habits.
  • A working knowledge of current robot learning, from diffusion and transformer policies to VLAs.
  • A bias towards experiments that end on hardware.
02Founding Engineer, EmbodimentFounding team

Build the body our models run in: the mechanics, electronics and sensors that turn off-the-shelf robots into machines ready for real work.

What you'll do

  • Retrofit commercial robots, humanoids included, with new sensor heads, mounts and end effectors.
  • Design mechanical and electrical components, from CAD and schematics to working prototypes.
  • Bring sensors up end to end: mounting, wiring, power, drivers, calibration and time sync.
  • Make the hardware hold up outside the lab, and decide with the learning side what each robot needs to sense and do.

What you bring

  • A mechanical, electrical or mechatronics background, with robotics hardware you've built yourself.
  • Fluency in CAD and rapid prototyping, and comfort with electronics, from wiring and power to simple PCBs.
  • Enough software to bring hardware to life: Linux, Python or C++, ROS 2.
  • A preference for working prototypes over perfect drawings.
03Internships and student projectsEntry point

The way in. Join us for an internship, a thesis or a semester project and work on real robots. For the right people, it's the first step towards a place on the team.

What you'll do

  • Own a defined piece of the work in robot learning or robot hardware, with a clear goal and real machines.
  • Work alongside the founding team, not on a side track.
  • For a thesis or semester project, set the scope together with us and your university supervisor.

What you bring

  • Studies in robotics, computer science, mechanical or electrical engineering, or something close.
  • Something you've built that you can show us.
  • Your programme, your interests and when you could start.

How we work

Small team. Real ownership.

You own it end to end.

From the first idea to a robot doing the task. No hand-offs into a void.

Real machines, real tasks.

Your work is tested on hardware, not just in notebooks and simulations.

Zurich.

Based in the city, close to some of the best robotics research anywhere.
